Hello Fall!

Before I had kids I really didn't pay much attention to the changing of the seasons or the rhythm of the year. Especially once you're out of school. But there's definitely something about having kids around you that makes you ultra aware of the seasons, the holidays, traditions and marking the pass of time. Here's a few of ours that I've just now realized happen on a regular basis around this time of year with absolutely no purposeful planning on my part (in other words, the ADD gal can handle it).

Mini pumpkins (because for little hands that love to touch they are way more sturdy). Check.

Double batch of oatmeal cookies, straight off the side of the oatmeal canister. Check.

More comfort food. Warm, spicy chicken tikka masala simmering on the stove. Check. *whispers* Recipe to come sometime this week.

I guess it's official. Fall is here to stay. Now off the plant some bulbs and prune bushes before old man winter rears his head.
